What's good, YouTube? It's your boy Tony D2Wild, checking in once again! Today, we’re taking a close look at the Canik Mete MC9, and I've got my first impressions after putting several hundred rounds through it. From the packaging to how it shoots, let’s break it all down!
What’s in the Box?
High-quality Canik packaging that includes everything you need, including extra backstraps, screw sets, tools, and a Canik holster (with a strong tension lock system).
Comes with two 17-round magazines and a lock guard for safety.
Features of the Canik Mete MC9:
Flat-faced aluminum trigger with a crisp 90-degree break and reset.
Full grip stippling with increased texture for better handling.
Redesigned slide serrations with flared slide and lightning cuts.
Tridium night sights for improved low-light performance.
Ambidextrous features, including slide stop and mag release.
Lightweight with compensated barrel ports to reduce recoil and muzzle rise.
Specs:
Overall Length: 6.73 inches
Barrel Length: 3.64 inches
Height: 5.43 inches
Weight: 23.38 oz
MSRP: $650 (or $850 with the optic version)
My Thoughts:
The trigger is amazing – great feel and an easy reset.
The grip texture feels solid and secure, perfect for keeping control during rapid fire.
While ported, this is one of the less loud compensating pistols I’ve shot.
The holster is solid but a bit tight, especially when wearing loose clothing, so keep that in mind if you plan to carry it often.
Notable Issues:
A slight issue with the TLR 7A light not fitting properly on the rail – needs a specific slot to work. I’ll be looking into solutions for this!
Stay tuned for the follow-up review once we hit that 1,000-round mark, including my experience with the red dot optic.
