What's up, everyone? Today, we’re talking about the Shadow Systems XR 920, an upgrade from the MR 920 with a full-size grip and a Glock 45-style slide. I’ve been carrying this as my EDC lately, and after running it suppressed and unsuppressed through several hundred rounds, I’m ready to share my thoughts.
The XR 920 is a Glock 19-style weapon with the grip of a Glock 45, making it the perfect crossover for those who like the compact slide but need the added grip for better control. Shadow Systems has made a name for themselves by creating high-quality Glock clones with upgrades out the gate – things like a superior trigger, better stippling, and even a threaded barrel for suppressors. The XR 920 doesn’t disappoint in that regard. It features a crisp trigger, better ergonomics, and a magwell for easier reloads. The upgraded trigger and grip texture are a huge improvement over a stock Glock.
The threaded barrel and suppressor-ready design make it an ideal gun for those who want a little more than just a standard Glock. Plus, you get a slide cut for optics like RMR or Holosun, making it a solid choice for both carry and competition shooting.
If you're debating between a Glock 45 or Shadow Systems XR 920, I'd suggest trying out the XR 920. You get all the benefits of a Glock with a few added perks, all without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for something a little more “Gucci” than your typical Glock, Shadow Systems has you covered.
