What’s up, YouTube! Tony D2Wild here, and today we're diving into the Sig Sauer P320 Australian Mod. This limited edition version of the P320 comes as part of Sig's new Special Weapons Group (SWG) program, which brings military-grade firearms to civilian markets. This particular model, based on the P320 adopted by the Australian Defense Forces (ADF) in 2022, packs a punch with its features.
The Australian Mod is essentially a civilian version of the ADF’s P320, and it shares a lot of similarities with the M18 used by the U.S. military, but with a few key differences. The Australian version has a P320 slide with a coyote PVD finish, a manual safety, and ambi controls for the slide release, making it a solid choice for anyone wanting a practical and high-performing firearm.
Key features include the Romeo 2 optic, which offers a large, easy-to-use window for faster target acquisition, and the Fox Trot 2 weapon light for low-light conditions. The gun ships with two 21-round magazines and a flush 17-round magazine. For those looking for versatility, this model comes with a lot of premium features right out of the box—making it ideal for both collectors and serious users alike.
In terms of performance, the P320 Australian Mod doesn’t differ too much from other P320 variants. It offers the same reliable functionality, but with the added appeal of the Romeo 2 optic and a rugged, military-inspired design. The grip module features the X Carry design, which offers an extended beavertail and deep undercuts for better control. Plus, you still get iron sights that co-witness with the optic—something not found on many other military-style models.
This is a limited edition version, meaning once it's gone, it may not be available again, making it a great option for anyone looking to own a piece of military history. Whether you’re interested in the P320 for its performance, its unique features, or as a collector’s item, the Australian Mod offers a premium experience that blends style, utility, and history.
